The tiny home, which we’ve transformed into the Surf Shack, accommodates up to 3 people and is the ideal spot for those seeking a peaceful and secluded getaway. The 1.8-hectare island is located in the middle of a breathtaking nature reserve, offering a unique opportunity to completely unplug and recover from the stresses of everyday life. Transport to and from the mainland is provided free of charge by our boat. As soon as you step onto the island, you’ll feel the absolute silence and tranquility, interrupted only by the gentle sound of waves and birdsong.

The Surf Shack is rustically furnished, offering a cozy and comfortable stay. When you wake up in the morning, you’ll be greeted by a stunning view of one of Finland’s largest lakes. A special highlight of our offering is access to our sauna and traditional smoke sauna. Relax and enjoy leaving the stress of everyday life behind. The wood-heated saunas can be booked for an additional fee.

For those who wish to stay on the island and explore the surrounding nature, we offer various activities. If you’d like to fish, we can arrange guided tours for you. You’re also welcome to rent a stand-up paddleboard and explore the lake at your own pace.

As the tiny home is located off-grid, cooking is not possible. However, a refrigerator is available. If desired, we can also provide meals for you. Please note that there is no vital emergency medical care available on the island.

At the Surf Shack, you can charge your electronic devices using solar power via 12 V and 5 V USB outlets. Sanitary facilities include an eco-friendly compost toilet and a washing area in the sauna. When the weather allows, most guests enjoy using the lake for bathing as well.
